Our Macedonian colleagues from the university Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Goran Aleksovski and Aleksandar Uzunov got primetime on National television. The team is the lead of the Work Package 2, where focus is on producing more resilient bees via natural selection into honeybee breeding programs for Varroa resistance, study the existence and the mechanisms of natural selection due to higher Varroa infestation, testing the new accelerated breeding cycle towards rapid breeding progress, and finally having focus on cryopreservation of honey bee embryos.
