BEE-GUARDS in Action
The BEE-GUARDS project uses around 250 digital hive scales in an international field study for real-time data collection. The goal is to integrate these data, make them available to researchers, and develop models that can support decision-making in beekeeping and research.
In Denmark, three demonstration scales are available. One is shown here.
The scale records measurements every 15 minutes and displays live updates.
It is equipped with five brood sensors and a bee counter.
The dashboard software is in Italian, but here translated to english.
